Just installed the game and downloaded the GT endurance mod, when I put the file in the packages folder and start the launcher, then go into "manage mods" rFactor2 mod manager says "unable to install the following mods" with the GT endurance mod being the one it can't install. what am I doing wrong?

Did you install the full build 69 installer first? or did you start with 49, then update to 60, then 68, then 69? I believe you have to be at least up to build 68 to use the Nissans. And, did you right click the mod, then click install?
I also believe the game is finicky about where you install everything, they suggest that you install everything to default locations. In other words, let the installer choose where things are installed.

Did you check to see if it is already installed? Maybe it comes with build 69.... Also, are you sure you didn't download the templates instead of the mod? I made that mistake myself, haha

I think you may need to install the Renault Megane Trophy mod first, it has tracks that the Nissans require, that MAY be the problem. Try that, then see if it will install,,,
While you're at it, grab the 60s grand prix cars too, they are a serious challenge to drive, and you will get Spa 67, and Monaco 67 with those...

Yeah, the FFB is a big step up from rfactor 1, I didn't think NetKar Pro could be topped in FFB, but I think RF2 has done it. The F Renaults are a major challenge to drive, even after the tracks have rubbered in, haha, like driving on ice sometimes !!

eclap - You need all the mods installed for them all to work mate. Some contain tracks aswell. I did tell you it was another level If physics and FFB are important to you then rF2 even in beta is unmatched.
pCARS looks nice but once you get past the visuals, really it's nothing at all to get excited about. Yes it's early but also if it was a serious sim, it would already have the most important part nailed, i.e the driving part, the most important part of the sim.
ISI concentrated only on the physics and FFB so far and it shows

I agree totally. For me NKP was THE sim of the last generation, the FFB was just in a class of it's own but now rF2 has taken that FFB and bettered it. Add in the insane amounts of immersion rF2 has, it really is something else

Your missing the Megane Trophy, you need them all mate. You are also missing the F3.5 update by the looks of it aswell.

I have the megane trophy file in there with the other mods, it's just not showing up for some reason. managed to get the gt endurance to work, had to install it from inside the game, still no megane trophy, I'll try re-downloading the mod again.
EDIT: ok, looks like my megane trophy mod file was bad, I re-downloaded it and it all works fine now. All the cars and tracks installed (the ISI ones). tried the 370z round Palm Beach, had a blast with it, I can't explain it but it seems that driving in rFactor is more intuitive, I can start counter steering to prevent spinning off earlier than in most games, the feedback (visual and through the wheel) from the game is very accurate.
